CHR 303: A Glimpse Into A Time Long Ago [OW]

    Shiloh looked at the assignment this time, yet again this class would prove to be a bit difficult for him. Not because it was Chronomancy, but because it required the social interaction he'd been sure to keep his life fairly void of. He'd currently been at the cafe, looking at his notes for Chronomancy knowing he'd have to henna Sjá öll fortíð onto himself. There was the option for tattooing it onto himself but honestly he didn't want to have to try that experience out.

    It took him a while to find someone willing to aid him in his assignment, but when he did it ended up being the 5th year student, Kurami, an auburn haired soulhunter.He also took quite some time to research henna and get the spell onto his skin, he'd chosen his right forearm since it was a spot easy to reach and hard to not see the spell on. The thought of an ever present migraine wasn't too much of a new one for him honestly, so that didn't deter him much from continuing on with this. Later today she'd agreed to meet him at the library so he could complete his assignment. 

    Although he wouldn't admit it, this was one of the few times Chronomancy terrified and intrigued him. He'd know her entire past after this. Not that he'd do anything with that information, it was a privilege that she was even letting him do this and it would be rude for him to go and backstab her. 

    When he did meet her the library was fairly empty, many students ending up elsewhere on campus - likely enjoying the weather or being done with their classes. Shiloh also remembered the information about having a crystal on hand so he'd brought his enhancer with him, which had several crystals in it. He'd figured channeling some of it through the small crystals would lessen it a bit and wouldn't be a bad idea. He'd eventually have a migraine but prolonging it wasn't too bad of an idea. It took him a few minutes of mental fortitude before he case the spell and was able to see her past.

    Seeing someone else's time was such an interesting thing, it was like watching a movie reel to some degree. However the feelings that were able to be received from it added so much more to it. Viewing the over two plus centuries of the other's life felt like hours but only ended up being a few minutes. Kurami had led a long life, full of many ups and downs to end up here in Otherworlde. Shiloh was absolutely intrigued that a few set memories of hers stood out to him, such as when her parents had thrown her out or when she'd gained her mark. The loss of her eye to her birth as a soul hunter.

Anyway everything seemed to be conspiring to not let me post this, which was originally going to be a larger image but ended up entirely different. There was like a tornado or something? Which usually doesn't happen where I am and it decided to knock out the power, so I couldn't really finish it up until the power came back on since my battery is like: pfff what is lasting? 

Plus even though it's been summer for like four days for me i've just had little to no drive to draw. But since I was entirely lost on this assignment I figured I should draw something because I really should do it. Aaaand then I wrote a little thingy, so ta-da this started off more complicated but also ended up being more than I thought it would be.

I honestly can't even remember what else I wanted to say here.
Oh! I really need to find a lining method i'm happy with. I feel like there could be more to the way I line now, so more sketchy lines.
